Affixly: Daily Word Puzzle
Affixly is the daily word game for people who’ve outgrown the one-guess puzzle. Everyone in your group gets the same three-letter affix; you build three words - one that starts with it, one that contains it, one that ends with it. Longer words score higher - then your friends’ leaderboard decides who really won. No timers, no ads, no subscription, no tracking.
Got CAT? Try catching, locate, wildcat. Now beat that.

Free to use in any coverage of Affixly.
Screenshots are on this page at full resolution - click any of them to download. They are unretouched captures of the shipping app, with no marketing overlays.
Video, other screens, other device sizes and other themes are available on request: email support@affixly.co.uk and it will be sent over in whatever crop, resolution or format suits you. A playable build is available via TestFlight (link below) if you would rather capture your own.
What makes it different
A genuinely new verb. Most daily word games ask you to guess a hidden word. Affixly gives you the letters up front and asks you to build outward from them in three directions at once. Prefix, infix, postfix is a mechanic no other daily puzzle uses.
Social without being multiplayer. Private friend groups share one puzzle and one leaderboard, and nobody sees anyone else’s score until they have played themselves. It is the Wordle group chat, built in, without a timer or a matchmaking queue.
It takes nothing from you. No adverts, no analytics, no tracking, no subscription, and no account required to play. One optional lifetime purchase, priced once, shared with the whole family.

Accuracy notes
Scoring depends on word length only, not rarity or difficulty. The three-letter affix is shared by everyone within a group; each group is assigned its own puzzle, and solo play is the same for all solo players on a given day. “No ads, no tracking, no subscription” describes the app as it ships today.
What beta testers said
“At last, a unique word game with clever mechanics I’ve never seen before. It perfectly balances casual entertainment with just enough challenge to keep the brain sharp. Ad free!” - LL
“I like the fact it only gives you one round a day. Makes you come back the next day! It also has a very clean interface which isn’t so convoluted.” - MP
“Refreshing to see that Affixly uses an original concept that really makes you think, differing from other word games nowadays. My favourite feature is the ability to create groups and play with friends.” - AM
About the Developer
Haunted Keyboard Studio is a one-person iOS studio in the UK. Affixly began as a game its developer wanted to play with his partner and children: something quick enough for a coffee break, hard enough to argue about, and safe enough to hand to a child. That shaped every decision. The puzzles are filtered for family-friendly vocabulary at generation time. There is a single low-priced unlock rather than a subscription, and it is shared across the whole family. There are no adverts and no analytics of any kind, because an app that collects nothing cannot leak anything. Accessibility came in early rather than late, with full VoiceOver support, shape-coded validity rather than colour alone, and dictation-friendly input. The learning angle came last and turned out to be the part players mention most: you can tap any word your friends played and read its definition, so a daily argument about scores quietly turns into vocabulary.

Video is available on request, as is any other screen, device size, theme or specific moment: email info@affixly.co.uk and it will be sent over in whatever crop, resolution or format suits you. There is a 20-second silent gameplay clip in both vertical (1080 x 1920) and App Store (886 x 1920) formats. A playable build is available via TestFlight if you would rather capture your own footage. Accuracy notes for anyone writing about the game: scoring depends on word length only, not rarity or difficulty.
